    Yearbook Staff- Please stop by Mrs. Nickol’s room by Tuesday, May 30th to sign the Library’s Yearbook.

    Yearbook update – 1 Yearbook left, let Mrs. Nickol know if you are interested in purchasing it.

    The last day for SWAT will be today, Friday, May 25.

    Monday – No School

    If you left a copy of Scythe in Mr. Koopman’s room on Wednesday, please see Mrs. Torrence.

    If you have a volunteer application for Tipp City Public Library, please drop it off with Mrs. Torrence, and she will take it to the public library. If you left your application at home, you have until 6 PM today to get those to Mrs. Martin at TCPL.

    Mrs. Torrence is still looking for some overdue library books. Get these turned in to her immediately.

    Please check the office for jewelry, electronic devices, and glasses. See Mrs. Stenger for rings and Fit Bits. The lost and found is heaping with lunch boxes and jackets.

    Thursday, June 1 - Field Day; Students please apply sunscreen at home before you come to school and wear closed toe shoes.

    Did you hear?  We will be having a dunk tank at Field Day, on June 2! $2 for one throw and $5 for three throws. Teachers- Mr. Stanbery, Mrs. Hohenstein, Mrs. Matthews, Mr. Koopman, Mr. Lavercombe, & Mr. Enz!  This will be ON field day. (You are not guaranteed the teacher you want.)

    Sports:
    Attention 8th grade boys:  There will be a short meeting on Tuesday during Enrichment for anyone interested in playing high school baseball next year.  The meeting will take place in the Choir room.

    Attention all 9th Grade Cheerleaders:  There will be a meeting today, May 25th, at 3:00 pm in room 109 at the high school.

    6th and 7th grade girls interested in playing middle school basketball next summer, please see Coach Gronski and Coach Pentaudi outside the lunch room during your lunch period this Friday to receive summer information.

    There will be an organizational meeting June 1st 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Homestead Golf course for any 8th grade girl interested in playing high school girls golf next fall.  

    We still have many students with unpaid school fees.  If you need to know the balance due, see Mrs. Koopman or call our office at 667-8454.

    ALL student medications must be picked up on the last day of school JUNE 1, 2017. Any medication left in the clinic will be properly disposed of on that date. We ask that all non-emergent medication in the clinic (ie. Cough drops, eye drops, pain meds that are for non-emergent cases) be picked up by MAY 25, 2017 as we are working to shut down the clinics for the year. Thank you.

    IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR

     

    2017-2018 school year, the Ohio Department of Health requires all students entering 7th grade be vaccinated against meningococcal disease. This requirement will be enforced progressively as it was in adopted last school year 2016-2017.

     

    All students who will be entering 7th grade for the 2017-2018 school year will be required to have the Tdap vaccine AND meningococcal vaccine or they will be excluded from school on the 14th day after school begins.  A second dose of the meningococcal vaccine will be required prior to entry into the 12th grade. 

    Documentation of the required vaccines or handwritten exemption must be on file on or prior to the first day of school. Please submit documentation as soon as possible.

     

    Contact your licensed health care provider to see if your student has had the required vaccine(s).  If not, schedule an appointment for your student to receive the vaccine(s).  Public Health-Miami County offers vaccines at a reduced cost.  Please call 937-573-3500 for more information.

     

    PLEASE NOTE: ORC 3313.671 states that a pupil can remain in school for 14 days after the start of school. If the appropriate documentation is not submitted, the pupil will be excluded from attending school and participating in sports or extracurricular activities.

     

    1st day of school is August 24, 2017 (Grades 1-12) and exclusion date is September 15, 2017. (this date accommodates the Kindergarten start date of August 29, 2017)

     Testing Dates - AIR Tests; All tests will begin in the morning and be completed by lunch time, unless the student has specific testing requirements that allow for additional time.
