Welcome to the Great OUTDOOR CLUB

2011-12

Welcome to the Outdoor Club.  The purpose of this club is to stay active and healthy by enjoying outdoor experiences with and old and new friends.  We have many wonderful  experiences planned for the 2010-11 school year.

Each month we will plan one off-school grounds event.  Students will need to turn in their permission slip on time to attendOften it is on a first come, first serve basis for trips where a limited number of students is required.

STUDENTS DO NOT HAVE TO ATTEND ALL EVENTS.

Feel free to pick and choose what events you would like to attend.

Unfortunately, there is a $20.00 fee for any and all clubs this year.  The Outdoor Club has made every effort possible to keep the costs down but there is no way around charging for some events.

Please contact Mrs. Stucke  or Ms. Ares at 667-8454 (ext. 2570) or email us at mstucke@tippcity.k12.oh.us  or lares@tippcity.k12.oh.us  if you have any questions.

Here is a tentative schedule of the upcoming Outdoor Club events:

September:  Canoeing the Stillwater: This trip was so much fun!  We only had three students fall in the water (not bad out of thirty-one attendees).  Some students paddled bank-to-bank rather than following the current, but they eventually made it to the end.  It was great weather, great exercise and great company.  I hope you all come out for the paintball trip in November--date to be announced soon.

November:

December:  January

February:  We will be going ice skating at River Scape in Dayton in February since our trip in December was cancelled due to severe, cold weather.  We will announce the details in the next few days.  Stay tuned!
