ATTENTION YEARBOOK STAFF: Next Wednesday, May 3rd, the Yearbook Staff will meet after school until 4:00 to have our book-sorting and pizza party. If you have been a regular member of our yearbook staff, please make arrangements to attend so that you can help us get our yearbooks sorted and ready as well as celebrate a wonderful year on Yearbook Staff!
Do you enjoy reading aloud and want to show off your talents during Elevate the Arts on May 23? If so, sign up in the library media center through May 8. You may do an oral reading from a literary piece such as a poem, an essay, or an excerpt of a story. The work must be school appropriate and may be one that you have written yourself or one that you have found in a book or on the Internet. On the sign-up sheet, please write your name and the title of the work that you wish to read. Presently we have been given 30 minutes (7:30-8:00) for our performances. If we have a large number of people sign up, the time may be extended. Please see Mrs. Torrence with any questions.
The 8th grade picnic will be on Friday, May 19th at the Tipp City Park from 11:00-2:00. Parents please see the following link to sign-up for donations and to help! 8th Grade Picnic 2017
8th Graders interested in swimming in High School, there will be a short informational meeting on Friday April 28th during enrichment in Mr. Stanbery’s room.
There will be a parent meeting for current 6th and 7th grade girls interested in playing TMS volleyball next year, on Monday May 8th at 6:00pm in the cafeteria.
Any 6th or 7th grader interested in running cross country on the TMS school team can pick up information from Coach Brown during lunch. You can also stop by room 132 between classes or before and after school. In addition, the information will be posted on Mrs. Brown’s page on the school website.
Attention all 6th and 7th graders interested in cheering next year. A signup sheet and information packets are in the front office.

Testing Dates - AIR Tests; All tests will begin in the morning and be completed by lunch time, unless the student has specific testing requirements that allow for additional time.

Reminder to all TMS students & parents – All pick up and drop off before and after school is from the back door of the building that faces LT Ball. All pick up and drop off during school hours, for appointments, or parents dropping off items, must be through the front door that faces Hyatt Street.
IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR
2017-2018 school year, the Ohio Department of Health requires all students entering 7th grade be vaccinated against meningococcal disease. This requirement will be enforced progressively as it was in adopted last school year 2016-2017.
All students who will be entering 7th grade for the 2017-2018 school year will be required to have the Tdap vaccine AND meningococcal vaccine or they will be excluded from school on the 14th day after school begins. A second dose of the meningococcal vaccine will be required prior to entry into the 12th grade.
Documentation of the required vaccines or handwritten exemption must be on file on or prior to the first day of school. Please submit documentation as soon as possible.
Contact your licensed health care provider to see if your student has had the required vaccine(s). If not, schedule an appointment for your student to receive the vaccine(s). Public Health-Miami County offers vaccines at a reduced cost. Please call 937-573-3500 for more information.
PLEASE NOTE: ORC 3313.671 states that a pupil can remain in school for 14 days after the start of school. If the appropriate documentation is not submitted, the pupil will be excluded from attending school and participating in sports or extracurricular activities.
1st day of school is August 24, 2017 (Grades 1-12) and exclusion date is September 15, 2017. (this date accommodates the Kindergarten start date of August 29, 2017)
