Welcome to Broadway Elementary!

At Broadway we create a learning community where love and respect build a foundation for students to become lifelong learners and exemplary citizens. Our staff provide opportunities for students to develop the basic skills of learning, challenge students to excel, and foster an opportunity for creative expression. Students are empowered to make choices that will lead them to be lifelong learners and enjoy lives filled with respect, happiness, and opportunity.

We are very proud of the warm and caring learning community that Broadway offers. The staff, students, parents, and community make Broadway a wonderful place to experience the love of learning. We encourage you to visit us and witness the excitement of learning for yourself. Broadway has many opportunities for parents and community members to be a part of our learning environment by helping with our Project More program, working with a small group of students, being a room parent, or being part of our PIE parent group.

It is our desire to keep you informed of all that is taking place at Broadway. Up-to-date information will be sent out weekly through the “Wednesday Family Update” and information located on our school web page. If you have questions or concerns that arise at any time, please do not hesitate to give your child’s teacher a call or email.

    Character Club
Mrs. Gress and Mrs. Smith will be using The Seven Habits of Healthy Kids by Sean Covey this year as a focus for our Character Club.  We will meet with the students at the beginning of the month and share the habit and use modeling techniques to teach the students what this would look like in their day to day lives. At the end of the month, staff will choose students who have shown this quality to celebrate with us at a Super Citizen Breakfast.
At the beginning of the year, we spoke to students about "Doing the right thing, even when no one is looking".  We discuss making good choices and will focus on this throughout the school year.
