    Technology Support Specialist 

    • Perform routine workstation troubleshooting and/or maintenance
    • Monitor and react to IT Helpdesk tickets 
    • Assist staff and students concerning the basic use of computer hardware and software
    • Provide users with basic training in proper use of hardware and software
      • For example, G-suite, Microsoft Office, off the shelf products and custom developed software
    • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service
    • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support
    • Set up equipment for student and employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
    • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications
    • Test repaired items to ensure proper operation
    • Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications
    • Inspect new equipment and prepare for delivery to users, and deliver equipment to building sites
    • Stay current regarding new technologies, standards and techniques
    • Support the Coordinator of Technology with workflow analysis, space design, and cost comparison analysis
    • Assist with new staff orientation
    • Salary Range:  $28,840- $40,088

    • Used on an as needed basis for 2 hour, 4 hour, or 8 hour shifts
    • Must pass BCI/FBI background checks
    • Performs custodial duties which includes but not limited to: clean, moves, arranges furnishings, supplies and equipment as directed, sweeps and mops floors, empties waste baskets, picks up and removes trash
    • Assist parents and other visitors to school buildings with special events and programs
    • Required high school diploma or its equivalency

    • Required high school diploma or its equivalency
    • Able to lift up to and in excess of 40lbs
