•      Hello!   My name is Aimee Soutar.  I am the Health Teacher at Tippecanoe High School and this is my 17th year teaching in Tipp City.

I've been married to my husband, Darren "Duffy" Soutar, for 26 years.  Duffy is a Tipp City Police Officer and has been faithfully serving the community for 15 years.  We have 4 children.  Brett, our oldest child, is 30 years old and is a Cincinnati Police Officer.  Brett is a Tippecanoe High School Graduate and an Air Force Veteran.  He just got engaged this summer to a wonderful girl named Heather.  They plan to wed on October 24th, 2020.  Our daughter, Jesse, is 25 years old.  Jesse graduated from Ohio State University in 2016. We are pleased to say that she has given us the best gift we could ever ask for.  Jesse gave birth to our first grandchild, Lily, on October 20th, 2018.  We love every minute we get to spend with her.   Leah, our middle daughter, is 23 years old. Leah graduated from Wittenberg University in 2018 and majored in Psychology.  Leah works in downtown Columbus and lives in New Albany, Ohio.  Alie, our youngest daughter, just turned 21 years old.  Alie graduated from Sinclair College in 2019 and majored in Business.  She is taking a gap year before completing her bachelor's degree.  Our family would not be complete without Scout, our 5-year-old Border Collie.

Besides teaching Health at Tipp, I also teach fitness classes at the YMCA in Troy 6 mornings a week, and fitness classes for the district employees 3 afternoons a week.  In addition to working out, my hobbies include reading, riding my bicycle, and spending time with family.  My faith is very important to me.

I am really looking forward to this school year.  I  thoroughly enjoy teaching health and have a passion for teaching students how to be healthier physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially.
Best wishes for a fulfilling school year!
        Aimee Soutar
