    Bachelor of Science from Ohio University in 1995
    Master of Arts from Nova Southeastern University in 2003
    +30 Hours post Master's Degree from various universities and workshops
    25th year of teaching (24 of those years in 3rd grade at Broadway Elementary)

    I have been married for  24 years to a wonderful husband named Trent.
    I have 3 children- A son Noah who is 21 and is a Junior in college, a daughter Katelyn who is 18 and a frehman at Kettering College of Nursing, and a son Benjamin who is 13 and is in 7th grade.  They are the lights of my life.
    Educational Philosophy:
    I believe that education prepares our children for the future. A quality education should provide skills, confidence, and the experience of success. As a teacher I want to ensure that all students get the opportunity to succeed academically and personally.  I feel that all students should be treated with respect.  Their classroom should be nurturing and safe for learning and expressing themselves in their own unique way. 
    *The best learning takes place during activities, discussions, and hands-on activities. Ask your child to tell you about some of the learning activities and games we use in class such as the smart board, algebra equation dice game, board games, learning centers, individual white board activities etc...
