Degrees and Certifications:
B.S.E in Adolescent to Young Adult Education Bowling Green State University
My name is Kevin Knapke and this will be my fourth year teaching at Tippecanoe High School. In May of 2016, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Adolescent Young Adult Mathematics Education. I grew up in a small, rural community located about an hour northwest of Dayton called St. Henry, OH. Throughout my collegiate career, I participated in many different programs that allowed me to professionally grow as an educator. For three years, I served as an Supplemental instructor where I was asked to assist struggling students through the use of peer facilitated learning. In December of 2014, I was fortunate enough to participate in a two week study abroad experience by traveling to the great country of Thailand. I enjoyed learning about the culture and developing as an educator.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy coaching and spending time with family. I currently coach cross country, basketball, and track at Tippecanoe Middle School. Growing up with four siblings caused quite the chaos at times but I savor and enjoy every second spent with them. Other hobbies include running, hiking, and watching movies. I am a sports fanatic with my loyalty belonging to the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
I am very humble to be here and excited to begin my second year at Tipp. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Here's to a successful year at Tippecanoe High School!!
