Hello everyone.  If you are looking here for distance learning updates, this is to inform you that due to the governor's mandate, Tipp Schools will be participating in distance learning for the remainder of school year 2019-2020.  If you still need your class code for google classroom, it is listed on a tab at the left.  I continue to be available through google classroom messages and email.  I also am continuing to update students' progress in Powerschool, with completion grades as well as indicating missing assignments.  In addition, I am continuing to post lesson plans here on my webpage each week as well as on google classroom.  If you have questions about anything please send me a message!  I have enjoyed getting to know each and every one of my students this year.  I hope we will be able to reconnect in person some time in the very near future.  In the meantime, we will do our best to complete the curriculum and continue learning together online!  Again, please reach out if you need anything!

Hello! I am excited to introduce myself to my students and their families this year.  I am not a new teacher this year but I am new to being a full time teacher.  I worked as an intervention aide and part time social studies teacher last year. Prior to being hired here full time, I was a substitute teacher for several years in all of our buildings in Tipp City. I am also coaching middle school volleyball for my 10th year.  I will be coaching 8th grade. I attended college at Capital University in Columbus where I majored in social studies education and also played volleyball. I taught two years at Tippecanoe HS and 6 years at Troy HS before choosing to stay home with our family at that time.  I have been married to my husband Don, who is retired from Tipp Schools, for 29 years.  We have 4 great children:  Zach, who is a senior at University of South Carolina (and who plans to graduate early, we hope, in December!), Josh, who graduated in 2018 from Tippecanoe HS and is beginning his college career at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland where he will be taking classes as well as playing basketball this year, Rachel, who is a junior at THS and Hannah who is a freshman at THS.  We also have a dog named Coco.  Our family enjoys many sports, both watching and playing, and we enjoy family games together when we can.  We are also active in our church where I volunteer in many areas.  I enjoy exercise and running and I team-teach a class at the YMCA when it is not volleyball season!  When I have free time I enjoy reading and walking the dog with my husband. I am looking forward to another great year at TMS.
