    Tomorrow is the last day to turn in Box Tops and Grocery receipts for our Box Top collection.

    Mrs. Pierson’s class is still in the lead followed by, Mrs. Armentrout, and Mrs. Brown’s red devil classes.

    7th grade Power of the Pen practice Thursday 2:40-4:00

    Open mats for Wrestling are CANCELLED for today, Thursday October 29th . 

    Book Club Members: Reminder that 6th grade Book Club meets during RED Devil next Thursday; 7th and 8th grade Book Club meets during RED Devil next Tuesday. If you have read your book, return it to Mrs. Torrence. If you haven’t finished reading, keep going.

    STEM Club will be holding its first meeting of the school year next Thursday November 5th after school until 3:30 in Mr. Bonifas' room (114).  Permission forms are on the TMS website under the Club Tab or from Mr. Bonifas.  Due to social distancing, the club is open to the first 20 students who turn in the permission form and pay the one-time $20 Participation Fee in the main office.

    This week is spirit week for TMS:
    Friday—Halloween attire/wear orange
    For tomorrow, students may wear costumes but they must be school appropriate. No masks or anything that would interfere with the required facial covering. No weapons or any item that would negatively impact their learning for the day.

    You have until this Saturday at 11:59 PM to be entered in the October 20-Book Challenge contest for the t-shirt (one winner per grade level) and $10 gift card to Chick-fil-A (one winner). To enter, you must read a book and submit a response in Google Classroom during the month of October. Responses must be 3 to 5 sentences, answer the prompt completely, and use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Responses that do not meet the criteria will be returned to you with comments in your email.  You may then make revisions in the email and send it back to Mrs. Torrence.

    During the first nine weeks, we had 23 students successfully complete 78 book responses. One student even read 15 books! Way to go! The first quarter (nine week) prizes will be distributed today in RED Devil.

    The basketball tryouts will be Boys Basketball tryouts will be Tuesday November 3rd, THURSDAY November 5th and Friday November 6th. 7th grade boys tryouts will be from 4:45-6:15 and 8th grade boys tryouts will be from 6:15-7:45.

    Any 7th or 8th-grade girl interested in trying out for the TMS basketball team should attend tryouts on the following dates (make sure you first have a physical on file in the office--see the TMS Athletics website and links for forms): Thursday, Oct. 29 2:45-4:15pm for 7th girls and 4:30-6:00 for 8th girls, Friday, Oct. 30 2:45-4:15pm for 8th girls and 4:30-6:00pm for 7th girls. See Coach Brown if you have questions. 

    TMS will have a Box Tops collection competition the entire month of October!  The Red Devil class that brings in the most will win an ice cream treat for the whole class. You may bring in clipped Box Tops to the office marked with your Red Devil class. If you purchase digital Box Top items this month, please scan your grocery receipt and designate Tippecanoe Middle School 9667364 as your beneficiary.  You now have the option in the Box Tops app to add a “Give Credit” memo for each scan. This allows you to tag earnings for a classroom or individual. You may also bring in a grocery receipt to the office and I will scan your earnings for you if you do not want to get the app.
