      No 8th grade PoP practice today. Please see Mrs. Thompson during Red Devil for your scores. We will have a pizza party next Wednesday during practice.
    Thursday – STEM Club

    8th grade scheduling sheets are due back to your Red Devil teacher by next Tuesday, Feb. 4th.

    Get your Just Read It forms turned in to the boxes on the rolling cart in the library. Mr. Southers will draw the winner Friday morning. Anything that you have read since we left for winter break counts! Each grade level plus staff will have one winner. Winners get a t-shirt, earn their Red Devil teachers bonus points for Field Day, and will be in the drawing for a book store gift certificate.

    In the library this week:
    - Congratulations to Brianna Waymire, last week’s Dewey winner. Please come collect your prize.

    - The new Dewey Decimal Number of the Week is 551.55—storms. Stop in the library to find a book with this call number on the spine and show it to Mrs. Torrence to be entered to win a prize.

    - Walk-ins only on Friday due to a meeting. An announcement will be made when the library is open. Please plan accordingly.

    - Book Club meets February 11 (for 6th grade) and February 12 (for grades 7 and 8). If you have read Among the Hidden, please return it to Mrs. Torrence. If you haven’t finished the book, get reading!

    High School Curriculum Night is Thursday, Jan. 30th from 5-8 at the HS.
    (5:00-5:30 is the 8th grade parent meeting.)

    8th graders that are going to the Washington DC Trip – your second payment of $200 is due February 4th directly to Classic Student Tours at www.classicstudenttours.com or (937) 439-0032.

    Sports:
    All 7th and 8th grade boys that are interested in playing Baseball this year must attend an informational meeting in the Wrestling room on Thursday of this week during Red Devil Period. You will be called down around 11:00. When you come please bring your cell phone if you have one so you can take a quick survey! Anyone without a phone will be able to use a Chromebook! Any questions see Mr. Hadden!

    Last night the 8rh grade girls basketball team beat Greenville 22-15. Laney Cleckner and Mara Sessions led with 5 points each. The team had their best free throw shooting percentage of the season going 9 for 10.  The girls play tomorrow night at home against Vandalism Butler. This is the girls last regular season game. It will be a tough battle so please come cheer on your girls teams during one of the biggest games of the season! 

    The 7th grade girls won their 13th game of the season last night, beating Greenville 30-17.  The girls only gave up three baskets the entire game.  Biz Stallard lead with 8 points, and Ella Henn had 7.  The girls have a big home game vs. Vandalia on Thursday.  Please come support the girls, it’s their last home game of the season, and tough game for both teams.

    Open Mats for wrestling will be canceled for this Thursday January 30, 2020 due to Senior Night dual.
