Next up in our National Arts in Education Week spotlight, we turn our attention to the Tippecanoe High School Marching Band! 🎶🥁❤️A look at rehearsal makes one thing very clear: a performance takes a tremendous amount of practice. Students work not only on the music, but also on movement, timing, formations, coordination, and the countless details that bring a show together.🌟And the work isn’t just for Friday night football games and pep rallies. The marching band also prepares throughout the season for competitions, where all of those hours of rehearsal come together on the field. Broadway Elementary second graders took learning beyond the classroom with a visit to a local treasure—Charleston Falls Preserve! 🌿🐍Students explored the outdoors while learning about animals, habitats, and what it means to be a good steward of the environment. Along the way, they hiked the trails, explored caves and water, dug into the ground for a closer look at nature, learned how animals like opossums behave, and even got to touch a snake. 🏈 Congratulations to Tippecanoe High School senior Raiden Nicholls, our Athlete of the Week! 💪🏻Raiden has been a force for the Red Devils’ defense to start the season. He currently ranks second in the league with 41 total tackles and leads the league with six tackles for loss. He also made a key fumble recovery against Fairborn that helped spark the scoring.👏🏻Coach Burgbacher calls Raiden the “quarterback of our defense,” helping lead a unit that has allowed the fewest points in the league so far this season. 👏❤️🏈#WEareTIPP #tippcityschools #congratulations #waytogo #athleteoftheweek
