👏🏻Congratulations to Tippecanoe Middle School cross-country runner Patrick McClurg, Athlete of the Week. 🏃♂️ In nominating him, Coach Knapke said, "Patrick has made tremendous growth this year for our boys team, and it is showing on the course! He recently reached a tough time milestone by running two miles in under 13 minutes. Patrick has improved his time each race to the point where he has cut almost 1 minute off his time from the 1st meet at Northmont.💪 He is the ultimate team player and will do whatever he can to help others. I know Patrick does not enjoy being in the spotlight, but he deserves all the recognition he can get! 🎉 Congratulations to our Tippecanoe High School Male Athlete of the Week, Alex Shellhammer! 🎉Alex, a senior on the varsity football team, has been a key leader on both the offensive and defensive lines this season. 💪 Coach Burgbacher shared, "Alex is the backbone of our offensive and defensive lines, playing two positions that don’t always get the spotlight. His level of play over the first three weeks has been outstanding, and we wouldn’t be putting up the numbers we have without him. As an offensive lineman, his sole purpose is to protect his teammates, and he excels at it. 🎉👏🏻Congratulations to Tippecanoe High School Female Athlete of the Week Kendall Davis, a junior on the varsity girls soccer team. 👏🏻 🎉Coach Palmer said, "As one of the captains of our team, Kendall has played an instrumental role in our success so far this year. ⚽🎊She covers the entirety of the field with a relentless work ethic. ⚽She does a lot of the “dirty work” that does not show up in the stat sheet but helps us win games. Getting into tackles, winning headers, and keeping our team organized. She has registered an assist in every game she’s played, currently leading the MVL in that category with eight assists in six games. She has also tallied three goals in that stretch. 😊She is a great leader and teammate to those around her and a huge reason why we are unbeaten in our first six matches (5-0-1). Over the weekend, Delainey was crowned champion of the JH girls' race at the Treaty City Invitational, running a time of 12:18.🎆 Quite the accomplishment given the 184 runners in the race. 🏃♀️This time ties her for 7th ALL TIME in JH girls XC history! Delainey is extremely hard-working and is always striving to do better each day. She raises the performance of everyone around her because of how hard she works.🎉 Delainey is also an excellent teammate and a lot of fun to be around!
