Zoey was recognized for her beautiful voice and for stepping in to learn additional lyrics when another soloist was absent. Hadley was honored for her lovely solo after being chosen by her teacher, Molly Sanders, to perform. 🍀🐍 Students in Jessica Martin’s class at Broadway Elementary put their problem-solving and engineering skills to the test during a fun, hands-on challenge! Using simple materials, students designed and built creative devices to lift their “snakes” (gummy worms) out of Ireland and into the surrounding ocean. Students in Ashley Schmiesing’s classes at L.T. Ball put their opinion writing skills into action during their Court Trial Project. ⚖️📚Throughout the quarter, students have been learning how to gather evidence and use it to support their writing. Their assignment? Write an essay defending a fairytale villain and arguing why that character was innocent. 🐺✍️That learning came to life as students stepped into roles, applied for courtroom jobs, and acted out their trials. Many even dressed the part and fully got into character. 🎭👏After hearing the evidence, all three classes reached the same verdict: the wolf was guilty. ⚖️🐺What a fun and creative way to bring writing, critical thinking, and collaboration together. 💡📝#WEareTIPP #tippcityschools #courttrialproject #opinionwriting #criticalthinking
