❤️🖤 In recognition of National White Cane Day, some fifth graders at L.T. Ball Intermediate School had a special opportunity to learn more about a tool their classmate, Grayson Neff, uses every day. Grayson, a much-loved member of the L.T. Ball family, is visually impaired and uses a white cane to help him navigate his surroundings safely and independently. 🙂Grayson’s family and Orientation and Mobility Specialist visited with students to explain how the white cane works, why it is important, and how Grayson uses it throughout his day. Students also worked in pairs and practiced using a white cane, gaining a better understanding of the skills involved and the independence it provides.❤️🖤#WEareTIPP #tippcityschools #whitecaneday #studentawareness #studentsupport
