😊🎊🥳We have some retirements to celebrate! ✨👏We begin with a congratulations to Elizabeth Makley, Tippecanoe High School nurse extraordinaire. 👩🏻‍⚕️Mrs. Makley says she looks forward to spending more time with her family, traveling, and not setting an alarm clock for the early morning wake-up routine. ⏰ She feels privileged to have been able to watch our students grow and to see first-hand, day in and day out, the outstanding qualities in our youth. 🏫🥰 She feels confident that our future is in great hands "because our students have so much genuine concern, care, support, and goodness." 🎓#happyretirement #WEareTIPP #agifttopubliceducation

🏫Some soon-to-be graduates literally dug up an old lesson. 📚 This is a great story from Tippecanoe High School senior Jack Wyant. 😊"Back in 6th grade, our teacher, Mrs. Longo, did a unit on the ancient Egyptians. We learned about how they used to mummify their rulers so that they could be immortalized and move on into the afterlife. So, in tandem with the unit, we decided to mummify a chicken and bury it in my yard in 6th grade. That was back in 2018. And so the other day, the whole class came together to dig up our chicken. 🐔We had food and drinks, and we celebrated making it all the way here. Someone even brought 60 chicken nuggets. 🍗When we were in 6th grade, this day felt so far away. Now granted, we didn’t mummify the chicken very well and it was just a pile of bones. But, it was still a really special way for us all to come together and put a capstone on the year by reminiscing on where we all started. "😍✨ #classof2024 #WEareTIPP #lastinglesson
