Tippecanoe Educational Endowment

The Tippecanoe Educational Endowment is accepting nominations for its annual Teacher of the Year.

This award is intended to recognize a current, certified classroom teacher from Tipp City Schools for exemplary service and dedication to students and the community. The award is designed to recognize significant achievements by a teacher.

The Teacher of the Year Committee considers a nominee’s traits that compel others to view him or her as a role model, dedication inside and outside the classroom, and leadership or accomplishments that distinguish him or her from peers.

“This program helps our community demonstrate not only appreciation for our teachers but also publicly communicate the impact these teachers have on our children's lives. We are honored to sponsor such a deserving award,” said Lisa Santucci, 2023 President of the Tippecanoe Educational Endowment.

Criteria of a nominee include:

  • Employed as a full-time, certified teacher with the Tipp City Schools
  • Demonstrates traits that compel others to view him or her as a role model
  • Demonstrates dedication both within the classroom and within the district
  • Demonstrates leadership or accomplishments that distinguish him or her from peers

Nominations can be submitted by parents, students, colleagues, and community members. If you want to nominate a Tipp City Schools teacher for this award, nomination forms can be found at https://thetroyfoundation.org/tippecanoeeducationalendowment.

All nominations must be submitted in their entirety no later than noon on Friday, May 12, 2023. The Tippecanoe Educational Endowment will recognize all nominees and announce the Teacher of the Year during the district's end-of-the-year ceremony on Friday, June 2.

The Tippecanoe Educational Endowment was created to support children of the Tipp City community by enriching educational opportunities and experiences currently available through public education. TEE sponsors the Teacher of the Year Award and responsibly allocates funds and resources to help meet the enrichment needs of Tipp City Schools’ teachers and students.
