Congratulations to the Tippecanoe High School Model United Nations team for its performance at the University of Dayton Model UN conference. Twelve students worked in five different committees to tackle difficult world problems such as Childhood Slavery, Food Security in Conflict Zones, and the Refugee Crisis in Ethiopia and persecution of Uighur Muslims. Sophia Perevozchikov won Outstanding Delegate for her portrayal of Bangladesh in the UNICEF committee, and Jack Wyant earned an Outstanding Delegate award for his work representing Malta in the Security Council. WOW! What an incredible, moving, patriotic Veterans Day tribute at LT Ball Intermediate School. Fifth graders participated in the Veterans Day Memorial Service sponsored by Tippecanoe Lodge #174. The students and staff then lined the parking lot with signs and smiles to say thank you to our veterans during the Parade of Heroes drive-by. Thank you to our Tipp City Police Department and local veterans for participating and helping our youth understand the value of your service to our country.
