This week the Tippecanoe High School Hope Squad hosted a hot beverage station for students and staff. Hope Squad wanted to do something nice for their peers and staff while encouraging students to recognize things in their life for which they are appreciative. The Hope Squad recently learned about the mental and physical health benefits of having gratitude. In order to get a free beverage, students wrote one thing on their cup for which they have gratitude. Upper Room Church and Grounds for Pleasure partnered with THS for this event. #WEareTIPP #gratefulforourcommunity #TogetherwerareExtraordinary

Congratulations to the Tippecanoe Indoor Percussion Ensemble for its 2nd place finish in its class. The ensemble earned a score of 68.2 at its recent competition. That's the highest first show score the group has ever had. Sunday the ensemble enjoyed similar success. Assistant Band Director Stephen Monath shared his highlight of the weekend. "On the way up to and the way back from the competition, we stopped at a truck stop in Ashland. On Sunday when we were there, the manager came over to me and said, 'I hear you're in charge of this group of kids. I said, yes what did they do?'" Her response: "Nothing. They’re incredible. They’re polite, courteous, and well behaved. You must have had a great weekend. In the past I have called schools and told them not to come back. I was here yesterday when you stopped, and you can come back any time." #WEareTIPP #TogetherweareExtraordinary
